Angela Young’s Dream Adventure review
Angela Young’s Dream Adventure is your average hidden object game with an average design and nothing really new to the genre. The storyline is based on Alice in Wonderland, is poorly written and nonsensical, the graphics is puzzling, there are typos in the texts and so on. The gameplay is somewhat solid, but nothing new.
The hidden object puzzles are pretty common – you will search for items in the lists by names or silhouettes. There are some variations, where you will have to search numerous instances of the same item or matching pairs of items, but you will see all the same in most of the other better hidden object games. The same rooms repeat between levels, although the placement and choice of objects will be different each time. This at least provides some change from many seek and find games which show the same objects in the same rooms in the same place over and over again.
The mini-games used in the game to provide some variety from seek and find action are pretty traditional – sliding, rotating image, matchstick puzzles. Most of these puzzles are pretty simple and you will have no problems finishing it.
The gameplay time is rather short – you will need just about 3 hours to complete the whole game. It might be for the better since the game simply doesn’t provide enough addiction to keep it playing longer. On the other hand, it’s a big question if you should spend your money on such a sloppy and short game.
Conclusions: Angela Young’s Dream Adventure is yet another average hidden object game, which offers nothing new to the genre, has weak storyline and graphics, typos in the texts and all traditional gameplay and puzzles. While gameplay is pretty decent, you will find all the same in hundreds of the other hidden object games. If you love just about any hidden object game, this game is for you. Otherwise, I’d recommend looking for the other, much better and quality hidden object games.
