Ever dreamt of something that held a lot of meaning and actually helped you in solving a real life problem? Not many get these dreams and the one who gets them is called a psychic. The game Dream Sleuth is also based on one such theme where dreams help a gamer in solving the mystery. Now, dreams alone do not help in getting the mystery unraveled but as a gamer one has to also do the traditional sleuth work!

Let me tell you one thing in the beginning Dream Sleuth has a story that can be called one of the best till now. You are going to face a lot of twists and turns on your way to solving the mystery. This is the case of a missing girl who has to be found, but the detective who has been deployed is not very good at his job. Your grandma is an ex-investigative reporter and she can help you solve the mystery of the missing girl. But as usual there is a problem! Your grandma is a little busy with making arrangements for her 75th birthday and she also believes that she is just a bit too old to slip into the investigation mode. Now, it is you who has to get going (in your dreams) and find out the girl. Your dreams provide you with some valuable clues to the girl’s whereabouts.

The gameplay is not the traditional hidden object game where you are to find a list of items. Instead you have to find out the object by arranging other items. This is just a hybrid of the missing object gameplay and the traditional HOG. There are a lot of puzzles for you to solve, so gather all your logics at the right place! You need to manipulate one item to reveal another like you need to open the doors of a closet to find out the items that are inside it. Finding the hidden objects won’t be a very challenging task and there are a lot of hints to get you going. You can click on the hints as many times as you like and there is also no recharge time. The challenge of finding the hidden objects and also solving the puzzles increases as you move ahead in the game. Beware the difficulty level is an increasing graph.

Conclusion: The game has a good story and the puzzles are also of international standard where it is not very easy to solve them. The graphics cannot be termed jaw-dropping either because the doctored images are not very eye catching (in fact they are a little awkward looking). There is a good variety in the scenes that are thrown up and also the music is equally complementing. Voice acting tends to be one of the best elements of Dream Sleuth and the scenes become even more interesting to play. One of the most frustrating aspects of this game is that as a gamer you have to do certain tasks that are completely illogical and also a few events that can really sound unreal. Dream sleuth is not a great game and can be place in the category of average games.
