House of Wonders: Babies Come Home review
The House of Wonders: Babies Come Home is a game brought to us by the same gaming house that dared to do a world of experiment through House of Wonders: Kitty Kat Wedding. Well, I know what you are feeling like if you had been one of the victims of House of Wonders: Kitty Kat Weddings. But believe this one is not going to torture you in any way. Instead you are in for some real fun when you play House of Wonders: Babies Come Home. Yes, neither do you need to pay heed to the insane Larry nor do you need to arrange for two silly cat’s wedding. There is a much better production value on the offing.
One thing that remains unchanged is that you are still going to encounter the silly Larry (he is still the owner of the House of Wonders)! Here also he prods you on to earn money but this time the cause is something different. Here you have to earn money to finance the delivery of quintuplets by Larry’s wife Lucretia. As usual Larry doesn’t have the necessary money for the nursery and you have to help him. You have to get hold of the money by completing the challenges that are stored up in each room of the House of Wonders. There are a total of 15 rooms and you have to search for hidden objects as well as solve puzzles in 5 rooms.
You shouldn’t feel surprised if you encounter some similar scenes from the prequel like the Negative rooms and the Upside Down Room. There is a lot of variety in the scenes that makes up for all the losses and you can find it really interesting to play through the levels. For instance, you have the River Room, where the items that you have to find float giving a unique experience. There is also Bubble machine which is a laundry room filled with bubbles. It becomes really difficult to spot the items because the bubbles tend to make the objects invisible. Also there are certain rooms that would frustrate you to the hilt.
The graphics of this game has improved by quite some notches and the scenes are much better etched out. The items have been given the cartoon style shape and there is uniformity in the styling. The audio has gone through a sea change and this time it complements the graphics very nicely.
Conclusion: There are a total of 14 rounds and the money that you earn during a round is spent on buying materials for the nursery like the transporting, cribs, blankies. The shopping is a great fun and you are going to have a lovely humor filled time. The best part is that you will get to see the nursery being slowly filled up with the items that you purchase. This is of immense satisfaction when you find out that you are actually doing something good. Larry is a really irritating with all his ungrateful comments. Well, this a nice game and you are going to enjoy it provided you love a dash of innocence in your life.
