Now, how bad can a hidden object game be? House of Wonders: Kitty Kat Wedding a strange game that has nothing appealing in it other than the game itself. There is just an absurd storyline and the game play looks as if a team of novice developers have gone on an experimenting spree.

Mr. Bones, the tomcat of Larry is in love with a cat living in the neighborhood. Her name is Ms. Felicity and they are so much in love that they want to get married. But as usual there is a huge problem (as narrated by Larry) – they don’t have money enough to get married. Now, what can more absurd then cats getting married and some don’t because they don’t have the necessary money!

Obviously you have to work as the savior and you need to go to Larry’s house of Wonders to earn money and pay for the cat’s wedding. The rooms of the house are nothing less than a carnival slideshow and there are a total of 18 rooms to work on. The game play consists of 20 categories with the help of which you have to cover the wedding expenses. Well, the wedding expenses include venue, invitations, photography, food and transportation. To cover the expenses under each category you will get to play in different rooms and the money earned through the games would have to be spent at the wedding mart.

The basic theme of the game is that if your earn more you can have a lavish wedding, but if you earn less in the house of wonders then you will certainly not be able to do it in a big way. For instance, if you have a very low wedding budget then you will not be able to afford the Sistine Chapel or Elysian Vinyards and would have to manage the wedding at Larry’s backyard or Elk’s lodge. Now, you have taken a pledge to provide a huge wedding party to the would-be catty couple, so you have to earn money in order to cover the costs of the wedding. Your money can decide whether the couple is going to arrive at the venue in a plane or on a donkey!

You have to perform the usual task of finding a list of items in the rooms. The only good thing is that there is a fair variety in the scene setting wherein you will have to search for items from a pitch dark room to a negative room.

Conclusion: The graphics just does not fit any gaming standards. It is a turn off for gamers wherein the game can only be explained in one word “Crazy”. The music of the game is also not up to the mark and can be termed as irritating. There are a lot of oddities in the game but I don’t know why I stood through all of them. May be I wanted to see the wedding room but even that did not match my expectation and looked like a doll’s wedding. The only word for the developers from my end is that it is not possible to put all wild ideas together. Next time please manage with a little less.
