Lost City of Z: Special Edition review

It seems that the new breed of Hidden Object game developers is bent on making this world a better place to live in. Yes, there is a new green-brigade at work and they are using what they know best (game development) to create a greener world. We have already encountered EcoRescue: Project Rainforest where we had to save the earth and some of its near-extinction animals. It was a treat to the soul and the eyes to visit the rainforests of the world, but as a game it failed to give me a drift. Actually, the game developers concentrated too much on the greener side of the game rather than the game itself. Now, we have Lost City of Z: Special Edition in which I could find the winning streaks as it not only deals with the subject of rainforest, but also has a gripping storyline.

The story of the game is plain and simple where you have to scour through the rainforest for clues and keep on following the trail of the researcher from National Geographic who went missing. You are bound to get hold of new tools and these have to be used to find information about the explorers who have lost their way in the search of an ancient civilization The Lost City of Z. You have to learn to use your hidden object gaming skills to decode the messages that are hidden all along the trail that you follow in search of the explorers.

The hidden object scenes are pretty easy and you do not have to be very good at finding hidden objects; it is not at all tough to find the concealed items. The hidden object stages can prove to be a dud for the experienced gamers but somehow I feel it may allure the new gamers. The levels of gaming are neither tough nor very easy which suits the needs and likings of new gamers. There are mini games and puzzles in the game that fail to pose any big challenge though there are a few new additions to this zone. There is a big problem and that is there are obvious repetitions of scenes, so you are slated to feel bored. If the developers expect that they can get away with such sloppy work then I really fear what the future holds for the company (these things never go down well with the company).

Conclusion: Leaving aside the excellent graphics and a complementing music, this game does not have anything to get your attention. Lost City of Z: Special Edition miserably failed to win my heart because it has flaws that seem to be nothing but sluggish work on the part of the developers. As a gamer you will feel really cheated when you have to repeat the same scene with a different name. The hint system of the game creates a big void where wrong clicks give rise to irritating message, but the right clicks fail to fetch you the points. This hint system has a lot of problem and the developers need to take a good look at the work they do. I do not need to rate the game as every game has its own fan following as well as critiques.

In Can You See What I See?, we meet poor Clyde Curfuffle, proprietor of Curfuffle`s Collectibles. He`s suffered a fire, a flood, and a nasty fall that`s put him in the hospital. The string of bad luck events just won`t stop, and he needs your help to save his collectibles ...

Investigate the murders by finding the clues as the difference between two pictures of the crime scene. Some of the differences give the clues to the murder and you uncover it with each clue.

Find a small green dot on every image. Pretty dumb and simple but somewhat addictive game. Some people will enjoy this.
