Lost Secrets: Caribbean Explorer Secrets of the Sea review
It has been really long that souls of veteran gamers like us were provided with the much longed tranquility, but Lost Secrets: Caribbean Explorer Secrets of the Sea has just managed to do it. Now, people who are already familiar with the Lost Secret series were already expecting such a gaming treat and Big Fish Games has not let them down. The developers of Lost Secrets: Caribbean Explorer Secrets of the Sea have created a magic that had been long missing in games of the hidden objects genre. The game would take you on a long journey across the high seas of Caribbean where you will lead the life of pirates and see how it feels to be roaming in their garb.
As far as the storyline is concerned then it is probably the best in the recent years. This is an exciting and fun filled game where you will go on finding hidden objects at various exotic locales of the 17th century. Anne Lafitte is Francis Lafitte’s daughter and as a gamer you would take up her character to go on one of the most exciting journeys of your life. Francis Lafitte has hidden all his looted treasures in the jungle but is in a badly injured state. He needs to find a doctor before he bleeds to death. Your task as his daughter is to find the hidden treasure and collect the necessary money for this treatment. You have to play through 16 missions designed at different locations to find out the necessary treasure and save Anne’s father.
Lost Secrets: Caribbean Explorer Secrets of the Sea can be played both in the timed as well as the relaxed mode (the idea of using a candle is not new). You have the option of switching modes while in the middle of a stage. You have to start the game at the Port Royal Street and then slowly move across to the other stages and locations. You will need to find out 15 items in each scene and the items that you find are grayed out. You cannot return back to a scene once you are over with it. Now, one of the important aspect of the game: Hints; there are not many for the gamers to rejoice and one is given the regular 3 hints to start with. You can earn additional hints if you click on the gold coins but they are scarce and you have to spend them wisely. You also have a Map to help you find the hidden items.
The game has been made even more interesting with a dash of mini games and puzzles. Besides the regular finding the difference and memory game one gets to play the solitaire puzzle and dice games.
Conclusion: Graphics of he game was above par and one doesn’t need to go on the pixel hunt. The scenes have all been well developed with the music complementing very nicely. All in all the game just blows away your mind by presenting you with a riveting storyline and exciting game play experience. Kudos to the developers!
