Mark and Mandi Love Story review

This game is better described as “spot the difference” game, but it’s still close to hidden object games genre, that’s why it was chosen to be added to our hidden object games website. Mark and Mandi Love Story features hand drawn art style and simple and entertaining gameplay. Sometimes it seems too simple, but that’s probably the focus of the game – it is to enjoy the game atmosphere, not to challenge you. The game gets somewhat more challenging only after playing through for more than an hour – so the demo will probably feel too simple.

The game is divided into 4 stages, each of them shows progression in Mark and Mandi’s relationship. At each stage spin the wheel to launch a random scene (such as date in the restaurant, picnic etc.). Each scene starts off with a dialog between Mark and Mandi, so that you will learn a bit more about each of them with each scene. The game is all humorous and romantic, so once getting into it, you will smile and enjoy it a lot.

Each scene is supposed to make Mark and Mandi realize the differences they have to better understand each other. So once the scene starts, your goal is to spot all the differences between the 2 pictures shown as quickly as possible, at best without incorrect clicks. The more differences in a row you spot, and the faster you do it, the more “wishes” you will get. The 2nd mini-game in each scene is Match-making: you have to match image pieces from the left image to the right image (just click one image piece at the left, and the same image piece at the right).

There is a special bonus level at each stage (shown red in the spin wheel). You should do the opposite to the normal levels – find the same objects in 2 pictures. You get twice more wishes for this bonus level. There are also different mini-games between the stages to add variety to the game.

You can spend your wishes to add more objects to spot difference in to the scenes. Or you can progress the storyline by buying “milestones”. You can do this between the scenes in the stage’s garden.

Conclusions: Mark and Mandi’s Love Story is a great game to feel the cute and romantic atmosphere. This game won’t challenge you – it’s simple and will let you just enjoy it as you play deeper into it. The humorous dialogs are great and they draw you into the story by making deeper connection and understanding with Mark and Mandi’s characters.
