Sunset Studios Deluxe review
The Sunset Studio Deluxe is a game that has the capability of catching the fancies of the general mass. The game has all the elements to make it a complete Hollywood based entertainer and this is something that is completely a new experiment in the hidden games genre. The storyline is good and also very appealing, which itself is forms a great base for enthralling game.
We all are aware that you are not going to get the role of a big Hollywood star and instead you will be playing the role of a peon who works in the prop department! Here, you will be helping the famous director Cecil B. Windmill in all the films that are under his production. There are a variety of sets that are designed based on various types of Hollywood setups like sitcoms, epics and adventure serials. The game play is not only restricted to searches for props in the cluttered rooms as you are required to carry out few other tasks.
Veterans can find a lot of similarities between Sunset Studio Deluxe and games like Amazing Adventures, Titanic and others that had the same pixel hunting feature to them. The best part of “Sunset Hidden Deluxe” is that it explains to you why exactly are you collecting a particular item and this we think provides the game with an edge. You will be finding various items at different locales like the office of the detective or trailer. The movie props that you have to find are tricycles, pink ties, bullets etc. You have to collect at least 12 to complete a stage (this would consist of collectible awards, scene rankings etc).
There is also a good presence of star characters that make things interesting by helping you or uttering interesting comments. The music composed for the game seems to be especially inspired from the Hollywood. The music plays and changes with every move in the game rendering a very film ambience to the game. You can also collect the dubbed tools in each stage or even you are awarded these as you complete each mini game. There are a lot of bonuses in the form of spotlights that seem to be coming closer, camera viewfinders that tend to increase the sharpness of the focus while nearing the key objects.
Conclusion: All in all this a great entertainer and you are part of the creative team that doles out movies like the “The Good the Bad and the Beautiful” and “Mission Improbable 4″. You are definitely part of a variety of scenes that range from exotic locales to cluttered rooms. If you are going to look at the downsides then it is tough to find many as there is only one minor glitch in the whole game that caught my eyes. When you finish a stage early, there is no provision of moving to the next level and this can prove to be frustrating. This game is a clean winner in its genre and will keep on winning more hearts in the coming days.
