Treasure Seekers: The Enchanted Canvases review
Treasure Seekers: The Enchanted Canvases is a sequel to the Treasure Seekers: Vision of Gold game, and this one improves greatly. This sequel plays and feels much better than the original, even though the original game was also good by itself.
In this sequel you have to help Nelly find her brother by making a happy ending for 6 magical paintings. On her way to this global task she solves lot of smaller problems, such as finding the magical medallion or repairing the bridge. Unlike some other hidden object games, Treasure Seekers uses a set of objects which do belong to the scene. So you search for objects or parts of the objects, which help you solve a bigger task. This way all your searches for the objects are not just some random pointless objects hunt, but rather blend well with the story and make sense.
As Nelly solves the secrets of all 6 paintings, she travels between a few locations associated with each painting, finding the objects and solving the mini-games. The objects found in one location are used to help her find something or solve in the other location, which in turn is used in another location etc. At any point in the game you can use hints, which are unlimited but require some time to re-generate.
The environment, graphics, presentation, sounds and storyline are all great in the Treasure Seekers: The Enchanted Canvases game. There are lots of details, some lifelike animations to make the scenes lively. The objects are done in great details and look real. Even though some of them are a bit darker than they should, it doesn’t take away much from the gameplay.
Mini-games are very varied, and some are more challenging than you might expect. Luckily, you can skip any mini-game you don’t like, so you’re not forced to play something you don’t want to. Mini-games include matching pairs, different sequence repetition, tangrams, image puzzles and more.
The game features two modes - Casual and Advanced. In Casual mode, the hints regenerate faster and also if you’re stuck and take too long to find any object, some animations will highlight the object for you to make it easier to spot.
Conclusions: Treasure Seekers: The Enchanted Canvases is a great hidden object game, which doesn’t have any outstanding things, but is done and presented in such a great way, that everybody will enjoy it. Thumbs up for the developer, and our high recommendations to try this game, you won’t regret it. The biggest disappointment is that once you finish the game, you’ll feel it’s too short, but that’s just an indication of how great this game is.
